  One of the coolest things to do!! Our kids loved it, we loved it. I highly recommend doing this. We started in willits. It's a longer train ride, so worth it. Stunning surroundings. And the train singer is just trhe icing on the cake.

  The train and model train museum were great! All of the staff members were kind, friendly, and helpful. The narration during the Pudding Creek ride is entertaining and informative - don't miss it! And the model train museum staff are incredibly knowledgeable. Overall, this was a great way to spend a few hours in a beautiful and historic part of California. Bonus - concession car serves beer!

  I have been raised on the Skunk Train. My dad has worked for them for over 40 years. I'm sad the tunnel closure has shortened the ride, but it is still a must do when visiting. I've rode the train 100's of times and it still never gets old. I couldn't recommend enough. If you go, say hello to the engineer Pepper. Tell him Matt sent you. Be sure to check out the outstanding gift shop. Great variety and value clothes and gifts.
